Green Bear Property Management has been serving Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas since 2013.

As the owner I’ve been managing rental real estate since 2001 after finishing renovations on my first rental home. After purchasing an older multi-unit property with existing tenants in 2003 I received a crash course in what “management” means. I had acquired a building with existing tenants all of whom were not paying their rent.

Moving forward....in 2009 I was asked by a property owner to manage his property which was adjacent from one of my own properties. I tried to decline, not yet comfortable in my ability to choose tenants after some other "learning opportunities" in my first few years of management. In order to become a professional, I took the next step by acquiring my property management license in Oregon. The Oregon Real Estate Agency requirements are no small task, in regards to study time and cost, but I considered it an investment. Also, based on my work ethic, and to better serve my tenants and property owners, I was up for the task.

When Green Bear was originally founded in 2013, I been married to lovely wife Kara for 11 years and we had a three-year-old son, Jackson. I was still working full-time at Springfield Buick, as well as running our property management business.

I’ve been asked about why our name is “Green Bear”. When I selected the name, I had simple reasons. I’ve always liked bears because of their strong presence and, at the time, my son’s favorite color was green. The name seemed to stick and it fit well with my personality and business mission.

We continue to see growth bringing on more property owners. As a family we are passionate about having our own business so we can enjoy more family time with flexible hours. Our goal is to grow slow and strong so that we can continue to build solid relationships in our community and with our tenants and property owners.
